Customs intercepts illegal goods on a fruit boat on Bonaire
During an inspection of the Maria de la Paz fruit boat, originating from Venezuela, a number of goods were found whose imports were hidden.
This concerns the following goods:
- 10 bags with 10 blocks of white cheese
- 34 bags of fresh meat
- 3 bags of fresh fish
The goods were hidden in various places on board the fruit boat.
The Public Health Department of the Public Entity of Bonaire was notified, after which the goods found were seized and destroyed. A total of 280 kg of prohibited goods were destroyed. These products are stated in the agreement that was agreed upon at the border re-opening with Venezuela that their import is prohibited.
