Income tax return processing
If you submit your income tax return before the 15th of May, we will ensure that your return is processed by the 1st of November. If you are entitled to a refund, you will also receive your money then.
We encourage timely (online) filing of tax returns so that we can process them quickly and accurately. Your return is processed in order of receipt. So if you file your return quickly, you will receive an assessment sooner. If you file your tax return later, it may take longer before you receive your assessment. Bear in mind that it may also take longer if your tax return is complex or raises questions. If questions arise, we will contact you.
We request that you do not contact the Belastingsdienst CN yourself about the date of completion of your tax return. This will not speed up the assessment process.
