Arrival notice

Once the ship or airplane arrives at the port/airport, the captain or pilot must immediately inform Douane Caribisch Nederland.

Where should I submit the arrival notice, and what do I have to declare?

The arrival notice must be submitted to the Customs offices where you also submitted the pre-arrival notice. You must report the date, the time of arrival, and the location of the ship/airplane, referring to the pre-arrival notice. The arrival notice often takes place by means of the submission of the import clearance declaration. The statutory term for submitting the arrival notice is presenting.

Must the arrival of all ships and aircraft be reported?

No, if a ship or airplane does not have to file a pre-arrival notice, the arrival does not have to be reported.

Please note! Leisure vessels and sports aircraft not registered on the island of arrival must immediately report their arrival to Douane Caribisch Nederland. The locations can be found in the pre-arrival notice section. The 'Custom clearance form for yachts and leisure vessels' is used for leisure vessels.
