Bonaire, Saba, and Saint Eustatius together constitute Caribbean Netherlands and are special municipalities of the Netherlands. These special municipalities have independent customs legislation. This means that anyone who imports, exports, or transits goods on one of the islands will face customs formalities, irrespective of where these goods originate from.
