In case of the import, export, or transit of goods, you will usually be able to file the required customs declaration with Customs yourself. However, it may be useful to outsource this to a specialised person.

You may choose to do so for the following reasons, for example:
- you only import goods occasionally;
- you are insufficiently familiar with categorising goods based on the nomenclature of goods;
- you are insufficiently familiar with the manner in which the customs value of goods is determined;
- you are insufficiently familiar with the application of exemptions.
